Pam Withers
Pam Withers' presentation will include short readings of her books, tales of her own adventures, humorous
anecdotes of how she researches her material, tips on writing and getting published. The presentation will even include
extreme-sports video clips--because many of Withers' books are based on extreme sports. Withers has worked as a journalist,
editor, and associate publisher. She is also a former outdoor guide who ran a summer camp for teens for many years.
She lives in Vancouver, B.C. with her husband and teenaged son, where she enjoys outdoor sports when she's not writing
and editing books.

Shelley Hrdlitschka

Shelley discovered her love for children's literature while teaching elementary school in the eighties. Then, while on
a parenting leave, she began writing children's stories. It took ten years, but she eventually decided to focus on juvenile
and young adult fiction and is now the author of eight award winning novels. Shelley lives in North Vancouver with her
three daughters, Sir Winton (her dog) and Gucci and Chanel (her cats). When she's not writing she can be found hiking, snowshoeing,
practising yoga, meditating, or hidden away with a book and some good music.
